Safety Counts 2010–2011 edition
UC Berkeley Campus Annual Security Report
Safety Counts serves as the campus security report for the UC Berkeley Campus.
In 1998, the federal government passed the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, formerly the Student Right to Know Act of 1990. This law requires colleges and universities receiving federal funding to disclose the reported instances of criminal activity on their campuses.
Safety Counts, however, is much more than a collection of crime statistics. UCPD strives to make this the definitive resource for safety and crime prevention information.
In 2010, Safety Counts is entirely available online at safetycounts.berkeley.edu.
