Crime? UCPD Gets the Word Out
Read Crime Alerts and Know Your Risk
UC Berkeley campus and its environs are not immune to crime, but your awareness can reduce the incidence of crime. Learn about current crime activity in the campus area by viewing UCPD's Crime Alerts here at police.berkeley.edu/crimealerts, or subscribing to our crime alerts mailing list. You can also follow us on Twitter or Like us on Facebook and have current crime alerts go direct to your favorite feed.
UCB Police News Email List
List members can expect to receive crime alerts for the Berkeley campus and immediate area, when appropriate. There will also be periodic informational messages about topics in crime prevention such as theft prevention and night safety.
The list is "read only" and administered by Campus Safety Programs. Anyone with an interest in campus safety or crime alerts on the Berkeley campus is welcome to subscribe.
To subscribe to UC Police news, send a message to:

- Click the link above to open an email program and get this address already in the To field. (The address at lists.berkeley.edu is the List Name followed by a "hypen" then the word "join". )
- Press send. You do not need to type in a subject or a message, CalMail's Mailman will take it from there.
- You will then receive an e-mail back from Mailman asking you to confirm your request to belong to the list.
- Reply to that mail message to confirm your email address, and you will be subscribed to the mailing list.
