On Monday, September 10th, 2012 two robberies occurred at the Golden Bear ATM. The first victim was walking on lower Sproul Plaza at around 2:55 p.m. when she was approached by a male who identified himself as “Kody” and asked her if she would like to purchase a magazine subscription. The suspect walked the victim to a nearby ATM in the Golden Bear Café. The victim withdrew cash which was taken by the suspect. The suspect and his companions were last seen walking towards the Sather Gate. The victim was not injured during the encounter.
