Armed Robbery
BPD crime report # 12-48157

Channing Way and Ellsworth Street
September 4, 2012

On Sunday, September 2, 2012 at approximately 9:00 p.m. an armed robbery occurred near the intersection of Ellsworth Street and Channing Way.  The male and female victims, both UC students, were near Parking Structure C when they were approached by two unknown males.  One of the males was armed with a gun.  The victims were robbed of their backpacks and cell phones.  The suspects were last seen fleeing on foot northbound on Ellsworth.  BPD and UCPD searched the area but were unable to find the suspects.  The victims were not injured during the encounter.

The suspect is described as:

Suspect 1 – Black male, early 20s, 5’10” tall, thin or average build, goatee wearing a purple sweatshirt, dark pants and armed with a gun.

Suspect 2 – Black male, 5’10”, average build wearing a black sweatshirt or fleece jacket and dark pants.
