Attempted Strong Arm Robbery

Channing Way Near Telegraph Avenue
April 14, 2012

On Saturday, April 14, 2012, at approximately 8:45 p.m., an attempted strong-arm robbery occurred on Channing near Telegraph Avenue. The victim, a 17 year old unknown affiliation female, was walking on Channing when she was approached by two females.  The female suspects threatened to harm the victim if she didn’t give them her iPhone.  The victim was able to hold onto her phone.  The suspects fled the scene on foot westbound on Channing.  The victim was not injured during the encounter.  BPD searched the area but was unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1 - A Black female juvenile, approximately 17 years old, with a thin build, 5’6” in height, and wearing an orange top, a dark coat and dark pants.

Suspect #2 - A Black female teenage juvenile, with an average build, 5’4”-5’5” in height, wearing dark jeans.

One of the two suspects was wearing a white beanie cap.
