Aggravated Assault (Suspect Arrested)
UCPD crime report # 12-00929

People's Park
February 27, 2012

On Thursday, February 23, 2012 at about 9:25 p.m. UCPD received a report of an aggravated assault of a non UC affiliated victim in People’s Park.  UCPD Officers responded to People’s Park and met with the victim.  The victim was transported to Alta Bates Hospital for medical treatment.  At the hospital, the victim stated she was with a group in the southeast corner of the park when a man approached the group and started cussing at everyone.  The victim stood up and told the man to leave.  The man then began hitting the victim multiple times in the face.  The victim lost consciousness.  The victim was later able to identify the suspect through a photo line up.  Additional witnesses at the scene confirmed the identity of the suspect.

On 02/25/12, the suspect was seen in People’s Park and arrested for aggravated assault

The suspect arrested is:
William BREWER, Male, White, 6’03” in height, 180 pounds, Brown hair, Brown Eyes.
