22500 Block Hillegass and Regent & Dwight Way
February 23, 2012

2500 Block Hillegass Avenue

BPD has recently advised UCPD that on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 two robberies occurred near People’s Park.  The first robbery took place at approximately 8:04 p.m.  The female victim, a 21 year old UC student, was walking on the 2500 block of Hillegass when she was approached by three suspects.  The suspects robbed the victim of her purse and other personal items.  The victim was not injured during the incident.  BPD searched the area but was unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect #1 – a Hispanic/White male with long hair, wearing dark clothing.

Suspects #1 & #2 – Hispanic/White males wearing dark clothing.

Regent Street & Dwight Way (Suspects Arrested)

At approximately 10:52 p.m., that same evening, an attempted robbery occurred at the corner of Regent and Dwight.  The 19 year old male victim, affiliation unknown, was walking when he was approached by two suspects.  The suspects attempted to rob the victim with threats of a gun.    The victim did not see a gun and the suspects fled the scene on foot.  BPD intercepted the two suspects who were arrested.

The suspects arrested are:

Suspect #1 – MARSHALL, Hamisi.

Suspect #2 – MURPHY, Demetri.
