Brandishing
2400 Block of Telegraph Avenue

BPD Case No. 10-72874

December 7, 2010

On Friday, December 3, 2010 at 8:05 p.m. a knife brandishing occurred on the 2400 block of Telegraph Avenue.   The male victim, affiliation unknown, was standing on the sidewalk in front of Café Med when he was approached by a male who appeared to be ranting incoherently.  The victim asked the suspect if he was speaking to him.  The suspect pulled out a folding buck style knife and pointed it at the victim.  The suspect then got on a bike and rode northbound on Telegraph.  The victim was not injured during the encounter. 

The suspect was described as:

A White male in his 40s, 6’2” in height, 160 lbs., with a thin build, wearing a blue Gortex style rain coat and riding a bike with a cat carrier on the back.
