UCPD crime report # 10-01214

Tang Center Parking Lot
March 31, 2010

On Sunday, March 28, 2010 UCPD received a report of a strong arm robbery which had just occurred at the Tang Center Parking Lot.  The victim, a non-affiliated 78 year old White female, was walking through the parking lot at 9:30 p.m. when she saw a male and a female standing across the street on Durant Avenue.  The two individuals crossed the street and approached the victim.  The female suspect grabbed the victim’s purse and started tugging on it.  Fearing the suspect would pull her over; the victim reached up and took the purse from around her neck.  The two suspects fled the scene running southeast out of the lot.   UCPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.  The victim was not injured during the encounter.

The suspects were described as:

Suspect #1 - A White female, 20-30 years of age, short-cropped bleach blonde hair, 5’9” in height, with a thin build, wearing black leather coat and. pants.

Suspect #2 – A male, no further description.
