Bowditch Street Near Channing Way

May 12, 2008

On Monday, May 12, 2008 at 1:45 a.m. a male UC student was walking alone on Bowditch near Channing and talking on his iPhone when he was approached by three males. One of the males produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspects fled northbound on Bowditch. The victim was not injured during the encounter. BPD and UCPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects were described as:

Suspect #1 – A Hispanic or Asian male, in his early 20s, 5’08” in height, approx. 160 lbs., with short brown hair, wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and dark baggy jeans.
Suspect #2 – An Asian male, in his early 20s, 5’08” in height, approx. 150 lbs., wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and baggy dark jeans.
Suspect #3 – An Asian male, in his early 20s, 5’08” in height, approx. 150 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark jeans.
