| UCPD crime report # 08-01735 |
| Channing Way and Bowditch Street |
On Friday, April 25, 2008 at approximately 9:33 p.m. sexual batteries occurred at the intersection of Channing and Bowditch. The victims, a 19 year old Hispanic female and two White females 18 and 19 years old, all students, were walking eastbound on Channing Way when they were approached by a group of 7 to 8 Black males in their late teens to early twenties. One of the group members walked up to one of the victims and touched her inappropriately. A second group member walked up to another victim and also grabbed her inappropriately. Then the second suspect punched one of the victims on the left side of her face. The suspects left the scene walking northbound on Bowditch Street from Channing Way. UCPD conducted an area check but was unable to locate the suspect. The victims were not seriously injured during the encounter.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 - A Black male, approximately 18 to 20 years of age, 5’08” in height, a medium build, with shoulder length dreadlocks, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark baggy jeans.
Suspect #2 – A Black male, approximately 18 to 20 years of age, 6’00” in height, a medium build, with shaved head, wearing a long sleeved orange and red button up shirt, gray t-shirt with letters on the front and dark jeans.
