On Saturday, February 16, 2008 at approximately 8:38 p.m. UCPD responded to a report of a strong arm robbery which had taken place approximately 15 minutes earlier on the pathway east of Tolman Hall. The victim, a White 16 year old nonaffiliated male, was walking from Tolman Hall towards Dwinelle Hall when he encountered a man standing near some bushes. The man approached the victim and asked him if he had any money. The victim told him no. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s collar and again demanded money. The victim gave the contents of his wallet to the suspect who fled the scene running northbound on the pathway. The victim went to Dwinelle Hall and called UCPD. UCPD searched the area but was unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured during the encounter.
The suspect is described as:
A White male, in his forties, who appeared to be homeless, with a dirty face, and rotted teeth, wearing a leaf patterned camouflage hooded sweatshirt, and dark blue pants.
