On Thursday, February 14, 2008 at approximately 6:08 a.m. a White 36 year old non-affiliated female reported an armed robbery in front of the Golden Bear Recreation Center on Sports Lane in CKC. The victim was standing at the trunk of her car when she saw two men in a car driving northbound on the Lane. The vehicle pulled up near the victim and the passenger, wearing a black ski mask over his face, exited the car. The suspect ran towards the victim holding a black handgun. He then pointed the handgun at the victim, threatened her and demanded her purse. When the victim told him her purse was in the trunk of her car the suspect demanded her key. The victim gave the suspect the key and then she ran from the scene. The victim returned to the scene a few minutes later and her vehicle was still there. UCPD and BPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured during the encounter.
The suspects are described as:
Suspect #1 - A White male, 6’01” in height, a medium build, wearing a black bandana and ski mask, dark baggy clothing and dark slacks.
Suspect #2 – There is no description at this time.
Suspects’ Vehicle – A light colored older model two door Cadillac.
