BPD crime report # 08-7025

Sigma Pi Fraternity

February 14, 2008

On Saturday, February 9, 2008 at approximately 4:43 a.m. a UCPD BearWALK Community Services Officer (CSO) was driving northbound on Warring when he saw flames coming from 2434 Warring. He radioed UCPD dispatch who contacted BPD and BFD. An unknown suspect(s) had thrown bricks and a Molotov cocktail at the fraternity. The bricks had broken a window and the Molotov cocktail had ignited a sofa on the front porch. The CSO assisted members of the house in putting out the fire with a fire extinguisher. BFD arrived and hosed down the sofa. UCPD and BPD searched the area but did not locate any suspects. No one was injured during the incident
