Strong Arm Robbery

People's Park

February 6, 2008

On Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at approximately 2:30 a.m. UCPD responded to a report of a strong arm robbery which had taken place a short time earlier in People’s Park. The victim, a White 36 year old nonaffiliated female, was sitting in the park when a man came up behind her and started choking her with a sheet. The suspect demanded the whereabouts of the victim’s purse. The suspect then released her and ran south on to Hillegass Ave. After the suspect left the scene the victim realized her purse and its contents had been taken. UCPD and BPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. The victim was not injured during the encounter.

The suspect is described as:

A Black male, 5’9” in height, 180 lbs., wearing a red bandana, a light blue sweater and tan pants.
