| College Aveneue near Dwight Way |
On Sunday, January 20, 2008 at 11:55 p.m. a UCPD patrol car was flagged down by the victim of a strong arm robbery which had just occurred on College Avenue south of Dwight Way. The victim, a non-affiliate, was walking southbound on College when a white 4 door car pulled up in front of him. Two people got out of the car and the car drove off. The two people approached the victim and threatened to beat him up if he didn’t give them his iPod and cell phone. The victim complied with the demand and the suspects left on foot traveling southbound on College.
Approximately, 45 minutes later a UCPD Officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of the vehicle. The occupants of the vehicle were positively identified as the suspects and property taken during the robbery was found in their vehicle. BPD took the two suspects into custody. The victim was not injured during the encounter. There is no more information at this time.
The suspects were described as:
Suspect #1 – A Bi-racial male, 17 years of age, 6’02” in height, with a skinny build, wearing a dark green zippered jacket with red stripes.
Suspect #2 – A Black male, 17 years of age, 5’10” in height, 140 lbs. with a slim build, black hair and brown eyes, wearing a black North Face puffy jacket, a yellow and green shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. |
