Armed Robbery

2600 Block of Hearst Avenue

December 18, 2006

On Sunday, December 17, 2006 at approximately 10:40 p.m., a male student was walking eastbound on the south sidewalk of the 2600 block of Hearst Avenue when he heard what appeared to be people running behind him.  When he turned towards the sound, he was struck on the right side of his face by an unknown object.  The suspects then pushed him into the bushes on the northeast side of the Cory Hall and demanded his money.  As suspect #1 went through the victim’s wallet and removed approximately $32, suspect #2 held a hard object to the victim’s right jaw (which led the victim to believe it was a weapon) while suspect #3 stood nearby.  Upon returning the wallet back to the victim, the suspects left the scene westbound on Hearst Avenue.  UCPD officers searched the area soon afterwards and were not able to locate the suspects.  The victim suffered abrasions to the right side of his face and neck, but he refused medical attention.

The victim described the suspects as:

Suspect #1 –  A dark-skinned male (possibly Hispanic or Black), 16-20 years old, approximately 5’10” in height and medium build, short hair, wearing an oversized brown hoodie.

Suspect #2 –  A dark-skinned male (possibly Hispanic or Black), 16-20 years old, approximately 5’10” in height and medium build, possibly wearing a hat, and carrying an unknown weapon.

Suspect #3 –  A dark-skinned male (possibly Hispanic or Black), 16-20 years old, approximately 5’10” in height and medium build, and possibly wearing a hat.
