On Friday, December 8, 2006 at approximately 11:00 a.m., a male student was walking westbound on the north sidewalk of the 2200 block of Bancroft Way when he was approached from behind by two suspects. Suspect #1 wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck while suspect #2 attempted to reach into the victim’s pocket for his wallet. During the struggle, the victim and suspect #1 lost balance and fell to the ground. At this time, the victim yelled for the police and scared away the suspects, who were last seen fleeing westbound on Bancroft Way. The victim was not injured during the incident and reported the crime to UCPD at 1:30 p.m.
The suspects were described by the victims as:
Suspect #1 – A Black male, 17-18 years old, approximately 6’1” to 6’2” in height and 175 lbs., ½” thick afro hairstyle, wearing a large orange short-sleeve shirt with small white stripes, baggy blue jeans, and basketball shoes.
Suspect #2 – A White male, approximately 5’7” to 5’8” in height and 150 lbs., straight medium length slicked-down blonde hair, wearing a black hooded sweat jacket, black jeans, and black tennis shoes. |
