Auto Burglaries

(Suspects Arrested)

Upper and Lower Hearst Structures

November 28, 2006

On Monday, November 27, 2006 UCPD received a call that an auto burglary was in progress on the top of the Upper Hearst Structure.  The reporting witness gave a description of the suspects and kept UCPD informed as to their activity until they left the parking structure.  A UCPD Officer located two individuals matching the description of suspects on Gayley Road and detained them.  During a consensual search of one of the suspect’s backpack, Officers found electronic items and burglary tools.  The suspects were subsequently arrested.

The suspects have been linked with two other burglaries occurring on campus on the 27th.

The suspects arrested were identified as:

TORRES, Antonio, Hispanic male, 22 years of age, 5’5” in height, 190 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes

RODRIGUEZ-CARMONA, Richardo II, Hispanic male, 24 years of age, 5’9” in height, 190 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
