Attempted Robbery and Strong Arm Robbery (Suspects Arrested)

Parker & Regent and Shattuck and Bancroft

November 27, 2006

On Friday, November 24, 2006 at 11:10 PM a man contacted BPD to report having just observed an attempted robbery at Parker and Regent.  He stated that two males had attempted to push down a 19 year old female student and steal her purse.  The victim resisted and the suspects were last seen heading eastbound on Parker Street.  A UCPD Officer was searching the area when he spotted two individuals who were positively identified by the victim and subsequently arrested.  The victim was not injured during the encounter.

At around 12:00 AM BPD took a report of a robbery which had occurred earlier in the evening at around 10:00 PM on Shattuck and Bancroft.  Further investigation revealed that the above suspects were also responsible for this robbery.  The victim’s personal property was found on the suspects.

The suspects arrested were:

Suspect #1 –  A Black male juvenile, 16 years of age, approximately 5’10” in height with a slender build, wearing a yellow hoodie. 

Suspect #2 –  A Black male juvenile, 19 years of age, approximately 5’10” in height with a slender build, wearing a dark hoodie.
