November 9, 2006

On November 8, 2006 at 7:38 PM UCPD received a report of an aggravated assault which had just occurred.  The victim, a 20-year-old Asian female student, and a friend were walking on the south side of Wheeler Hall when they encountered a group of three Black men.  One of the men made an obscene comment to the victim and she responded verbally to the comment.  The suspect then swung a heavy book-filled backpack striking the victim on the side of the face, almost knocking her to the ground.  The victim walked to UCPD to file a report.  BFD responded to UCPD to treat the victim.  UCPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect or the group members.
