Armed Robbery

2500 Block of Dwight Way


October 30, 2006

On October 28, 2006 at 1:50 AM the Berkeley Police Department responded to a report of a robbery on the 2500 Block of Dwight Way near Telegraph Avenue.  Two UC students, a female and a male, were walking on Dwight Way when they were approached by five (5) high school aged Hispanic males.  One of the suspects had a knife and demanded their property.  The victims complied and the youths left the scene.  The victims were not hurt during the encounter.  BPD and UCPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects are described by the victims as:
Suspect #1 – A Hispanic male, 5’3” to 5’7” in height, wearing a white T-shirt.
Suspect #2 – A Hispanic male, 5’3” to 5’7” in height, wearing a black T-shirt.
Suspect #3, #4 & #5 – Hispanic males, 5’3” to 5’7” in height, wearing dark clothing.
