On Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 1:46 AM a UCPD Community Service Officer (CSO) encountered a robbery and aggravated assault victim laying on the ground just east of Ellsworth Street on Dwight Way. The victim, a non-affiliated White male in his 50’s, was walking on Dwight when 2 Black males approached him. One of the males grabbed the victim and started choking him causing him to lose consciousness. He woke up while being assisted by the CSO. The victim was unable to give a good description of his attackers and was unable to give a direction of flight. The victim’s personal property was taken. No witnesses were found at the crime scene and UCPD and BPD were unable to locate the suspects. The victim sustained injuries due to a blow to his head and was transported by the Berkeley Fire Department to Alta Bates Hospital.
