On Sunday, October 1, 2006 at 2:56 AM the Berkeley Police Department responded to a purse snatching which had just occurred at the corner of Piedmont and Haste.  The victim, an 18 year old White female student, was approached by a Hispanic female who grabbed her tote bag.  The suspect then jumped into a red 4 door sedan which was occupied by two other Hispanic females.  The car fled westbound on Haste Street.  UCPD and BPD searched the area, but were unable to locate either the suspects or the car.  The victim was not hurt during the incident. 

The suspects are described by the victim as:
Suspect #1 – A Hispanic female, 5’7” in height, 150 pounds, 20 years of age, brown hair and eyes, wearing a white shirt.
Suspect #2 & #3 – Hispanic females, there is no other description of the suspects.
