Armed Robbery & Carjacking

Stadium Rim Way

September 20, 2006

On Tuesday, September 19th at approximately 11:29 PM, UCPD received a report of an armed robbery and carjacking which had just occurred behind Memorial Stadium on Stadium Rim Way north of Centennial Drive.  The victims, a 20 year old White male and an 18 year old White female, were sitting in their parked vehicle when they saw two male individuals approaching their car.  The two men walked up to the driver’s side window.  One of the men pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the male victim ordering him out of the vehicle.  He then demanded the victim’s personnel property.  Meanwhile, the other suspect walked around to the passenger side and demanded that the female victim exit the vehicle.  She was also told to give him her personal property.  Both victims complied with the demands.  He then pointed the gun at them and told them to walk down the hill away from their vehicle.  When the victims reached the Kleeberger Lot they borrowed a cell phone and dialed 911.  The suspects fled in an unknown direction.  The victims were not hurt during the incident.  A search of the area was conducted by BPD and UCPD, however neither suspect was located.

The victims described the suspects as:

Suspect #1 – a Hispanic male, around 18 years of age, 5’9” in height with a medium to slim build, with a “buzz cut”, wearing jeans and a grey hooded sweatshirt.

Suspect #2 – a Black male, 18 to 20 years old, 5’10” in height with a medium build, close cropped hair, wearing jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.
