Attempted Strong Arm Robbery


University House Driveway

August 30, 2006

On Tuesday, August 29, 2006 at 6:43 PM UCPD received a call from a cell phone reporting an attempted strong arm robbery which had just occurred on the driveway leading to University House near Giannini Hall.  The victim, an 18-year-old Asian male student, was walking northbound on the driveway leading to University House when he was grabbed from behind, thrown to the ground and punched.  One of the suspects demanded he empty his pockets.  The victim managed to get to his feet and flee the scene.  The suspects were last seen running westbound on the pathway north of Giannini Hall.  The victim lost his glasses during the assault and was unable to give a clear description of the suspects.    UCPD searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects are described by the victim as:

Suspect #1 – Black Male 15-16 years of age, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.
Suspect #2 – Black Male 15-16 years of age.
Suspect #3 – Black Male 9-10 years of age with a hairstyle with bangs.
Suspect #4 – Black Male 9-10 years of age.
