Strong Arm Robbery

Haste and Atherton Streets

August 25, 2006

On Friday, August 25, 2006 at approximately 2:04 AM BPD broadcasted a report of a robbery which had just occurred at the corner of Haste and Atherton Streets. A UCPD Officer responded and was flagged down by the victim, a 21-year-old White female. The victim had been walking west on Haste Street. When she approached the corner of Atherton Street a white or silver vehicle came to a stop next to her. A Black female jumped out of the car, pushed the victim to the ground and stole her purse. The suspect got back in the car and the car fled the scene going northbound on Atherton. UCPD and BPD searched the area, but were unable to locate the car or the suspect. The victim suffered a minor injury.
