Attempted Strong-Arm Robbery

Dwight Way & Ellsworth Street

August 14, 2006

On Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 12:30 AM the UC Police Department received a call from a cell phone line concerning an attempted robbery which had occurred approximately 15 minutes earlier. A Female on the line stated that she had been at the corner of Dwight and Ellsworth when someone came up behind her and pushed her to the ground. He was attempting to grab her purse when he saw some passers-by approaching. He yelled, “She fell, I’m trying to help her up.” He then fled the scene.

The suspect is described by the victim as:

A White Male, 6’00” tall, wearing dark clothes.
