Strong Arm Robbery (Suspects Arrested)

July 3, 2006

On Tuesday June 27, 2006 at approximately 6:46 PM a 23 year old white male was the victim of a strong arm robbery at the north end of Sproul Plaza.  The victim was walking across the Plaza when he was surrounded by 6 male teenagers.  Suspect #1 punched the victim in the back of the head knocking him to the ground.  He then took the victim’s skateboard and all 6 suspects fled eastbound through the Plaza.  A UCPD Officer spotted the victim chasing the group of youths and apprehended the suspect with the skateboard.  Other UCPD Officers located the rest of the suspects and they were also arrested.  The victim suffered no serious injuries during the attack.  Suspect #1 had been arrested the previous evening on an assault charge which occurred at the entrance to the Dwinelle parking lot.

 

The suspects arrested were identified as:

  • Suspect #1 – Hispanic Male, 17 years of age, 5’8” tall, 168 lbs., brown hair and eyes.
  • Suspect #2 – Black Male, 17 years of age, 5’7” tall, 150 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
  • Suspect #3 – Black Male, 17 years of age, 6’2” tall, 190 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.
  • Suspect #4 – Black Male, 18 years of age, 5’6” tall, 145 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
  • Suspect #5 – Black Male, 17 years of age, 6’0” tall, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes.
  • Suspect #6 – Unknown race Male, 18 years of age, 6’0” tall, 160 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes, wearing a blue and black coat.
