Assault with a Deadly Weapon


Bancroft Way and Bowditch Street


April 19 , 2006

On April 14, 2006 at 1:49 AM the Berkeley Police Department responded to a report that an individual had been struck by a bottle at the corner of Bancroft Way and Bowditch Street.  The victim was attacked by two suspects who fled east bound on Bancroft and then possibly north bound on to the campus. The Berkeley Fire Department transported the victim to a local hospital.  Nothing was taken from the victim.  The police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects.

The suspects were described as:

Suspect #1 -  A White male wearing a white striped polo shirt.
Suspect #2 -  A Hispanic male wearing a gray sweater.
