Kidnapping & Robbery (Suspect Arrested)

Unit II


April 6 , 2006

On April 3, 2006 at approximately 1:40 PM a male Cal student was walking back to his residence hall from class when he was approached by the suspect.  The suspect accused the victim of owing him money.  The victim did not know the suspect and did not know what he was referring to.  The suspect threatened the student with bodily injury if he did not give him money.  The suspect forced the victim to walk approximately 7 blocks to his bank on College and Ashby.  The victim then removed cash from the ATM and gave it to the suspect.  After receiving the money the suspect left the victim walking westbound on Ashby.

After returning to his residence hall, the victim reported the crime to UCPD.  During a photo line-up the victim identified the suspect.  The suspect was later arrested and is in custody.

The suspect arrested was identified as:

PALMER, Kamasa, a black male, 24 years old, 6’0” tall, with a heavy build at approximately 200 lbs.
