Brandishing a Weapon

(Suspect Arrested)

Warring Street and Channing Way December 5, 2005

On December 3, 2005 at about 2:12AM, Berkeley Police responded to the area of Warring Street and Channing Way for a report of a suspect brandishing a stun gun. The victim told Berkeley Police a young male in his teens, accompanied by four other juvenile males, pulled a stun gun out of his coat and threatened him with it after exchanging words. The juveniles departed the area; officers responded and located a group matching the description walking westbound on Bancroft Way (2600 block). The suspect with the stun gun was identified by victim during a field show-up; he was arrested for Brandishing a Weapon.  The remaining juveniles were not arrested or charged with any crime.
