Attempted RobberyBowditch
St. at Durant Ave.August
24, 2004
On August 24th, 2004, at approximately 2:00 AM, two Cal students were
the victims of an attempted robbery. The two students were walking southbound
on Bowditch St. from Durant Ave. when two suspects approached them from
behind. The suspects punched the victims from behind and demanded their
property. The victims didn’t have anything in their possession,
so the suspects yelled some profanities at the victims and then fled
northbound on Bowditch St. The victims did not require medical attention.
BPD and UCPD officers responded and searched the area, but were unable
to locate the suspects.
The victims described the suspects as follows:
Suspect #1: An unknown race male with a dark complexion, 5’11”
tall, thin build, “bushy” hair, goatee, wearing dark clothing.
Suspect #2: A Hispanic Male, 5’11”, thin build, short dark
hair, wearing dark clothing.
There were at least three additional male suspects standing by but there
are no further descriptions.
