Attempted Robbery2300 Block of Bancroft WayAugust 24, 2004

On August 6th, 2004, at approximately 6:30 PM, a woman was the victim of an attempted robbery on the 2300 block of Bancroft Way (near the intersection of Elsworth St.). The victim was walking westbound when a male suspect came up from behind and began pushing her and pulling on her backpack. The victim struggled with the suspect, and he relented and left the area.

The victim did not report the crime until recently, so no immediate area check was conducted.

The victim described the suspect as follows:
A White Male, 50 years old, 5'8", 150 lbs., gray hair, wearing blue plaid shirt and blue jeans.
