The
Berkeley Police Department has received reports of at least two sexual
batteries occurring on city streets near the UC Berkeley campus.
The
first occurred at about 8:00 PM on April 2nd, 2004 near Bancroft Way
and Fulton St. The second occurred at about 4:00 AM on April 9th, 2004
near Bancroft Way and Piedmont Ave.
Witnesses
described the victims as college age women, and the suspect as: A Black
Male, late 30's, 6'02” tall, 230 lbs, “salt and pepper” hair and beard.
A
suspect has been tentatively identified by the Berkeley Police Department.
Since no victims have come forward, no arrest can be made in these cases.
