Sexual BatteriesSouth Campus AreaApril 13, 2004

The Berkeley Police Department has received reports of at least two sexual batteries occurring on city streets near the UC Berkeley campus.

The first occurred at about 8:00 PM on April 2nd, 2004 near Bancroft Way and Fulton St. The second occurred at about 4:00 AM on April 9th, 2004 near Bancroft Way and Piedmont Ave.

Witnesses described the victims as college age women, and the suspect as: A Black Male, late 30's, 6'02” tall, 230 lbs, “salt and pepper” hair and beard.

A suspect has been tentatively identified by the Berkeley Police Department. Since no victims have come forward, no arrest can be made in these cases.
