UCPD NEWS: UCPD Detectives Follow up on Mulford Hall Burglary
[Berkeley - July 20, 2012]
UPDATE: UCPD has been following up on these burglaries. Thirty-nine computers, all most likely stolen from Mulford Hall, have been recovered.
Last night, UCPD Detectives worked extensively on this investigation. The investigation was in response to an Internet sales site which listed a computer that was identified as one of the stolen computers from Mulford Hall. The detectives contacted two people of interest that were associated with the sales posting. One is an employee working in Mulford Hall and one is not affiliated with UC Berkeley. UCPD received consent to search a vehicle and one residence. The search revealed the recovery of thirty-nine computers that constitute most, if not all, of the stolen computers from Mulford Hall. This case is still under investigation.
