UCPD NEWS: Message Regarding UHS Records
We are aware of the concerns regarding information provided to UCPD by the University Health Services. The reports received by UCPD from the Tang Center regarding injuries sustained at the November 9, 2011 protests were not used by the UCPD to identify protesters for charging purposes, nor were they sent to the Alameda County DA. In some cases, the individuals identified in the reports were contacted by the UCPD and asked whether they wanted to file personnel complaints. Some were asked if they wanted to participate in the operational review of the 11/9/11 protests conducted by an outside investigator. In all cases, the reports were not used for criminal investigations.
