Some Reasons to Use BearWALK
Many Chances to Win Sweepstakes until May 22nd, and "Walk Like a Bear" Video Now on YouTube!
UCPD has been working hard in Spring 2008 to get more people to use our Night Safety Services. You may have seen our bookmarks in the library, or picked up a new UCPD Campus Map from the front window at 1 Sproul Hall. Maybe you heard an announcement on KALX? Or watched a video on YouTube? We want you to know we've recently extended the hours of service for the Owl Line. Van Rides are now available an hour earlier, starting at 2am rather than 3am.

VIDEO: Check out our first video on YouTube! UCPD officers took the lead in making this video, because they want to get the word out and share their experience with students. Watch it and you'll see various students getting around campus at night, and a few officers stopping to give them a little one-on-one advice. See CSOs in action, the Owl Line Van on the job, and hear what the students have to say about what they'll do next time! Watch it Here
SWEEPSTAKES: If you haven't called 642-WALK yet, now is a good time to give it a try. Until May 22, if you use BearWALK (or Owl Service), you've got a chance to win a sweepstakes. Prizes to choose from are a Bike Club™ or a CalDining Finals Food Pack. Another good reason to make that call!
